- Asbestos Is a Serious Health Risk — Don't Handle It Yourself
Asbestos fibres are invisible to the naked eye and become airborne when disturbed. How To Tell If You Have Asbestos?
NATURALLY OCCURING CHEMICAL
Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral fibre that was widely used in Australian building materials from the 1940s through to the mid-1980s. Its heat resistance and insulating properties made it popular — but its fibres are extremely hazardous when released into the air.
Australia has one of the highest rates of mesothelioma in the world, largely due to asbestos use in residential construction. Many Adelaide homes built before 1990 contain asbestos in some form.
Our team has removed thousands of tonnes of asbestos from homes, businesses and industrial buildings across Adelaide and South Australia. We are trained, certified and equipped to handle every type of asbestos safely and legally. For asbestos removal, feel free to call us.

WHY HIRE A LICENSED ASBESTOS REMOVAL COMPANY IN ADELAIDE?
It's illegal without a licence
Improper removal spreads contamination
Disposal is strictly regulated
Asbestos waste cannot be placed in general rubbish or skips. It must be double-bagged, labelled and taken to an EPA-approved facility — violations carry serious penalties.
Health effects may not appear for decades
Mesothelioma and asbestosis can take 10–40 years to develop after exposure. The risk is not worth taking — professional removal protects your long-term health.

ASBESTOS REMOVAL FAQS
If your home was built or renovated before 1990, there is a significant chance it contains asbestos somewhere. Common locations include roof sheeting, eaves, wall cladding, wet area linings and under floor tiles. You cannot identify asbestos by sight — the only reliable method is laboratory testing. Call us to arrange an inspection.
Asbestos in good condition and left undisturbed is generally considered lower risk. However, deteriorating, damaged or crumbling asbestos poses a serious health hazard and should be removed promptly. We can assess the condition and advise whether removal is necessary.
In SA, homeowners may remove up to 10m² of bonded (non-friable) asbestos themselves, provided it is done safely and disposed of properly. However, any friable asbestos or amounts over 10m² must be handled by a licensed removalist. We strongly recommend professional removal for all asbestos work given the health risks involved.
Cost depends on the type of asbestos, quantity, accessibility and whether the site requires air monitoring. We offer free, no-obligation quotes after a site inspection so you know exactly what you're up for before any work begins.
All asbestos waste is double-bagged in approved asbestos waste bags, labelled correctly and transported to an EPA-licensed disposal facility. It cannot be placed in general waste, skips or council bins. We handle the entire transport and disposal process and provide documentation as proof.
